Another Reason to Love Memphis

I’m glad we moved to Memphis. I love that it’s October and still feels like late Summer. I haven’t had to drag out a coat or jacket and the other day I was wearing shorts and flip-flops. It’ll be snowing in Grand Rapids next month and we’ll still be having relatively great weather.

Just for comparison, I looked up some climate/weather info on Wikipedia about both cities. Memphis’ coldest month is January with an average high of 49F and an average low of 32F. Compare that to Grand Rapids’ January with an average high of 30F and average low of 19F.

And there’s a huge difference in the snowfall. Grand Rapids average yearly snowfall is about 72 inches. Memphis? 5 inches.

I’m really going to enjoy winters in Memphis.
